Biographical Info

(B.A. Environmental Studies, WWU – 2008; Teaching Certificate for Secondary Education – Equity and Diversity, WWU – 2017;  M. Ed. in Environmental Education, WWU – 2017) is a faculty member in the Native Environmental Science Program at the Swinomish Nation. Most recently she was a Graduate Intern in Community Health & Wellness for Swinomish Indian Tribal Community (since 2015), and a Science Education Intern at Western Washington University (2017). Prior to that time Tanisha held the position of Kukutali Preserve Caretaker/Naturalist for the Swinomish Indian Tribal Community (2012 to 2017), and was a Teaching Assistant for NWIC – Swinomish site (2012).
