NWIC Spirit Week from March 15 to 19

NWIC is holding a Spirit Week from Monday through Friday, March 15-19, to encourage and support our students who are competing in this year's American Indian Higher Education Consortium 2010 event. 

 

Men and Women's Basketball teams are leaving on Wednesday, March 17, for the AIHEC National Basketball Championship in Santa Fe, NM. Thirteen NWIC students will be leaving Saturday, March 20, for the AIHEC Conference in Chandler, Ariz.

NWIC's Student Executive Board is hosting a series of events through the week in the Student Union Building:

  • On Monday, March 15 - BBQ day: A barbecue will take place from 12 to 1 p.m.
  • On Tuesday, March 16 - Fear Factor day: A Fear Factor competition will be conducted from 12 to 1 p.m. Prizes will be distributed to winners.
  • On Wednesday, March 17 - Twin Day: Ensembles will be judged from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m. Coordinate with a partner for Twin Day to win prizes.
  • On Thursday, March 18 - Exercise Day: Come and exercise with NWIC staff and students from 12 to 1 p.m. Participants should meet by the Student Union Building by noon and then walk to the end of Kwina Road and back. NWIC's Ski and Boarding Club will be providing lunch to participants.
  • On Friday, March 19 - NWIC Colors Day: Come to school or work representing the NWIC colors: red, black and white. Lunch will be provided.
