The Tulalip Tribe hosted a "Raising Our Hands to You" celebration at the Tulalip Casino Resort Ballroom on Saturday September 19, 2009.  Tulalip coordinated this event to make special mention of programs and services that partner with the Tulalip Tribe and make a difference in the community.  Northwest Indian College was honored for the work done in Diabetes Education and the Traditional Foods and Plants program. 

Tribal Chairman, Mel Sheldon (shown below) spoke from the heart and thanked all who have contributed to the Tribe's community.
