ACT! Traditional Plants Camp August 4-5

Indigenous Service Learning’s August ACT (Aligning Communities for Tomorrow) event: Traditional Plants Camp is scheduled to take place on August 4th-5th at the North Cascades National Park, Marblemount Compound.  Join ISL for a two day event with the Northwest Indian College Traditional Plants Program.  August 4th: the agenda includes plant identification & harvesting techniques, garden fresh feast, youth presenters, and traditional storytelling.  On August 5th: hiking & plant identification in the park.

The ISL office will be offering volunteer services to the camp. If you would like to join us in this effort, please contact us ASAP, so we can make the appropriate arrangements.  If you volunteer with the ISL office camping gear, food, and transportation will be provided.  All you need to bring is a great attitude! For more information see attached flyer or email Meghan McCormick at mmccormick@nwic.edu. If you are only able to attend 1 day, we may be able to provide transportation back to campus.
