NWIC Foundation Honors Lummi Nation
Cheryl Crazy Bull, President of NWIC and Foundation Board Secretary along with Larry Kinley, President of the Northwest Indian College Foundation honored the Lummi Nation at the NWIC Commencement Ceremony on June 17, 2011 for their many years of support.
On behalf of the students, staff and NWIC Foundation Cheryl and Larry presented a beautiful cedar paddle by Alfred Charles to Cliff Cultee, Chairman of the Lummi Tribal Council.
This paddle along with a plaque will be displayed in the new Lummi tribal administration building when it is completed. This gift was to honor both past and present tribal council members who support Northwest Indian College for over 25 years.
