During the school year, the Nisqually Tribal Library hosts various speaking events, movies and activities. Sometimes students receive extra credit or have assignments that are connected to these wonderfully educational events coordinated by the Tribal Library Manager, Faith Hagenhofer. Faith is also a tremendous help to our students outside of these activities. She is a wealth of information for our students when they have questions about finding the right resources to be able to complete writing assignments, homework or various other research projects that are typically assigned by instructors. Take a look at some of the photos from the Tribal Library’s “Fall Speaker Series”, a series of events of key figures in our community, for example, elder Billy Frank, Sr.(Nisqually Rights Advocate and Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission), Poet-laureate Kathleen Flenniken and Traditional Foods specialist, Valerie Segrest (Muckleshoot). Additionally, we’ve included other photos of various tours, activities and projects sponsored by the Nisqually Tribal Library.
