NWIC Foundation Honors Lummi Nation

 
Cheryl Crazy Bull, President of NWIC and Foundation Board Secretary along with Larry Kinley, President of the Northwest Indian College Foundation honored the Lummi Nation at the NWIC Commencement Ceremony on June 17, 2011 for their many years of support.  On behalf of the students, staff and NWIC Foundation Cheryl and Larry presented a beautiful cedar paddle by Alfred Charles to Cliff Cultee, Chairman of the Lummi Tribal Council.  This paddle along with a plaque will be displayed in the new Lummi tribal administration building when it is completed.  This gift was to honor both past and present tribal council members who support Northwest Indian College for over 25 years.

Lummi High School Graduate Kyle Sturgeon Awarded the NWIC Foundation Scholorship in honor of Linda Kay Webb to Attend NWIC

 

 
Kyle Sturgeon, Lummi was the student selected for the Linda Kay Webb Scholarship in the amount of $5,000 to attend NWIC Fall 2011.  Kyle was the Valedictorian of the Class of 2011 at Lummi High School.  HI Family was there to see this award presented to him during the commencement ceremony at Lummi High school on June 16th.
