Although the Northwest Indian College has an open door policy, this
special program can only accommodate up to 30 students. For this reason students must
apply for admission into the program. Application forms and further information can be
obtained by contacting the TENRM recruiter

In additional to applying to TENRM, students must also apply for admission to Northwest
Indian College. The TENRM recruiter can help you with this. Student who are not admitted
into the TENRM program may do preparatory work and enter TENRM the following year or
pursue another degree program at NWIC. This means that no student is turned away on the
basis of their educational background. The college assists students to begin at the level
for which they are prepared and provides a wide variety of developmental course work
designed to enable students to prepare for more advanced study and to pursue programs
suited to their interests and aptitude.
To gain admission to the TENRM program, a prospective student should:
1. Submit an application for admission to the TENRM program. Application forms may be
obtained from Roberto in the TENRM program.
2. Submit an application to NWIC, which is also available from Roberto
3. Request the registrar at each college or university previously attended to send an
official transcript to the admissions office. These transcripts assist advisors to place
students in appropriate classes and enable to determine how transfer credits may be
applied to NWIC requirements.
4. Indian students must have proof of tribal enrollment sent to the Admissions Office in
order to receive resident tuition. This certification is extremely important to Northwest
Indian College, as enrollment by certified tribal members is the primary basis for the
financial support of the College.
5. Ask the TENRM recruiter about how to receive financial aid assistance to attend NWIC.
