NWIC Hosts Bellingham Human Rights Film Festival February 25

Northwest Indian College is hosting several films on the Lummi campus as part of the annual Bellingham Human Rights Film Festival. The films being shown and their times. All films take place on Thursday, February 25, in the Log Building on the NWIC Lummi campus:

  • 12:00 pm – Language Healers – the story of Native people working to restore their languages – with a guest appearance by Dr. GreyMaster
  • 1:00 pm – Honor Totem – the police shooting of Seattle Native carver John T. Williams and his memorial healing totem.
  • 2:30 pm – We Are All Related Here – Examines how climate change is dramatically affecting the Yupik people of Alaska.
  • 6:30 pm – Language Healers
  • 7:30 pm – Honor Totem
