Asian Pacific Islander Desi American Heritage Month Event

Everyone is welcome at this FREE community event, with food catered by Hana Teriyaki, Naan & Brew, and It’s the Sweet Things (owned by a BTC Culinary Program graduate). Enjoy live music provided by Squalicum High School students and a dance performance by PISA.

Speaker Shu-Ling Zhao, a biracial Chinese American mother, daughter, wife, auntie, performer, director, educator, policy advocate, and community organizer provides a glimpse into her personal stories and experiences. These elements, foundational to her ability to connect and form relationships for change, stem from cultural lessons, family and identity, and a drive to impact and activate others.
