Cooperative Extension Aromatherapy Body Care Workshops

Join NWIC’s Cooperative Extension’s Traditional Plants & Foods team every Wednesday afternoon for a month of aromatherapy body care workshop make & take events!
Each Wednesday through June 10, attendees will use traditional plants and foods to make various aromatherapy body care items.
Details:
Every Wednesday for the next four weeks from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. PDT in the Cooperative Extension (Building 20) on Lummi campus.
-May 20: Stinging Nettle Shampoo
Participants will use nettle infusions (powder oil) to make a shampoo bar and rinse. It helps promote growth and supports overall hair health.
-May 27: Foaming Bath Butter
Participants will create a foaming bath butter using natural ingredients, carrier/essential oils & butters (cocoa/shea/coconut). It cleanses and moisturizes your skin.
-June 3: Floral Hydrosol
Participants will create a floral hydrosol. Yarrow hydrosol provides many benefits for the skin, such as soothing sun/wind burns and relieves various skin irritations (bites, redness, reduces acne/scars, etc.)
-June 10: Herbal IncenseÂ
Participants will use various essential oils and dried herbs/resin to make a natural herbal incense and a liquid smudge spray.
