Can’t make it to Lummi Campus? Join us online for NWIC’s Fall 2026 Virtual New Student Orientation. Orientation is designed to help new students feel welcomed, prepared, and connected before classes begin on September 21.
Who Should Attend?
Virtual Orientation is especially recommended for students who:
Are enrolled primarily in online or distance education courses
Live outside the Lummi campus area
Attend NWIC through an extended campus site
Will not regularly access services in person at the Lummi Campus
Are unable to travel to the September 18 in-person orientation
Want to learn how to access NWIC services and resources remotely
Students who live near the Lummi Campus and plan to regularly attend classes or access services in person are encouraged to attend the In-Person New Student Orientation on September 18 when possible.
What to Expect
During Virtual Orientation, students will learn how to successfully navigate NWIC from wherever they are, including:
How to access important online student systems and resources
Academic advising and enrollment support
Financial aid and student service information
Academic success resources
How to connect with faculty, staff, and other students
Where to go when you need help
Ways to stay connected to the NWIC community while learning from a distance
🎁 Enter to Win a $500 Gift Card!
Students who participate in orientation can enter for a chance to win a $500 gift card at the end of orientation.
🚐 Need a Ride?
Transportation assistance is available. Students can use the Van Transportation Sign-Up to request transportation for orientation.
