Effective Wednesday, October 20, 2021, all Lummi campus buildings will be open (unlocked) and accessible to students, employees and the public during regular business hours (8:00am to 5:00pm) moving forward. The Lummi campus buildings have been locked and only accessible by keyless entry, and by appointment, as determined by the College’s Safe Reopening Plan guidelines the past 19 months.
The timing of this announcement is also made based on the Lummi Nation’s COVID-19 Vaccination Mandate which required all employees to be fully vaccinated or have approved exemption request by Monday, October 18, 2021. As a reminder, this mandate followed the College’s previous approval of the COVID-19 Vaccination Policy on July 7, 2021.
Furthermore, consistent with our COVID-19 Vaccination Procedure (attached) distributed by HR on Monday, October 4, 2021, N-95 masks will be available in all NWIC facilities, including extended campus sites.
