Northwest Indian College Begins Demolishing Building 4 on Main Campus
Northwest Indian College has made the decision to demolish Building 4 on Lummi’s North Campus.
The demolition has begun and is scheduled to last approximately two weeks.
Building 4 has had a long history at NWIC. Several years after NWIC was granted accreditation at the associate level, the College acquired Building 4 from the University of Washington in 1997, allowing NWIC to expand its academic services.
Over the past 29 years, Building 4 has been an office space and home for many departments and faculty, including Chemical Dependency, Workforce and Early Childhood Education.
Please note that the deconstruction of Building 4 will not significantly/permanently impact Buildings 3, 5, 6 and 7, which are historic buildings on NWIC’s main campus.
We appreciate Building 4’s history as a long-standing fixture on NWIC’s North Campus and look forward to future opportunities to best serve our students, staff and community.
